This year spinal health week 2016 runs from 23rd to 29th May and the theme is “back your inner athlete“.
What do we mean by this?
Every day Australians experience disabling low back pain, neck pain and headaches, which limits not only your work productivity but also your ability to engage in an active healthy life.
One reason why back pain and headaches is on the rise is due to our increased sedentary lifestyle and the fact we sit ALL THE TIME. We sit in cars, at desks, on couches, at the dinner table, at work and at school. Poor sitting posture places unnecessary stress on your spine and nerve system.
Over the next couple of weeks we are going to be encouraging you to MOVE more and encourage you to release your “inner athlete”. We are all designed to be super fit and healthy, we just have to eat well, sleep a lot and move often.
