1. I’m not sure if chiropractic is right for me?
Over the past 15 years our practice has been built on great results and happy patients. Whilst individual results are difficult to promise, we are confident that you will be delighted with your decision to work with Life Chiropractic.
If for any reason during the first 6 weeks of your care you are unhappy with your progress we will happily refund any monies spent.
At Life Chiropractic Port Melbourne our goal when you first visit us is simple, and that is to find out if you are in the right place to get the care you need. If after our initial consultation we feel that you’re not a candidate for chiropractic care then we will work with you to get you to someone who can help.
2. I don’t want to have to come forever
Once you come a Chiropractor you always have to come…
Have you heard that one before? Well, I remember hearing this before I even became a chiropractor and the truth is that this issue has been floating around chiropractic for decades.
Let’s face it, no one likes to feel a sense of dependency or like they are being forced into anything!
Chiropractic, like exercise and eating well is one of those this that is best done through out life but we understand that everyone has different goals. At Life Chiropractic Port Melbourne we are committed to working with you to understanding what YOUR individual needs and wants are.
Regardless of what your health goals are (optimal health or perhaps just getting rid of that debilitating lower back pain), our chiropractors will work closely with you to get you pain free as quickly as possible whist giving you strategies to help you manage as much of your care as possible. Each week we have simple, fun and effective workshops and classes that will show you exactly how to get well as fast as possible and prevent future back pain relapses.
In essence at Life Chiropractic Port Melbourne it’s all about choice, and that means you continue chiropractic care for as long as YOU want to enjoy the benefits.
3. I don’t want my back or neck to be cracked
With regards to this issue, patients at our practice often fit into one of two categories. Those that love having their spine “cracked” or “popped” and those that don’t.
If you happen to fit into the second of these categories then let me ease your mind by letting you know that there are many different and wonderfully effective ways (non cracking) to have your spine adjusted. We work closely with all of our clients to find an approach that is effective and comfortable to them.
Let’s take a quick look into what that “cracking” sound is. With some adjustments you may sometimes feel or hear popping or cracking sound. This is simply caused by a gas release from the joint as spinal movement is restored, similar to what you might hear when a wet glass is removed from a table.
Underneath the desire around not wanting your back to be “cracked” is often a concern about the safety of chiropractic care. So let’s address that issue you also.
In the words of the New Zealand Government’s Inquiry, chiropractic care is “remarkably safe.”1 Chiropractic has an excellent safety record that is the result of a conservative approach to health that avoids invasive procedures or addictive drugs. In relation to the treatment of neck and back pain, studies have shown that a course of chiropractic care was 250 times safer than a course of anti-inflammatory drugs2.
Whatever the technique our chiropractors use, it’s important to remember that it’s skill, not force or strength that’s the basis to a safe and effective adjustment.
4. I don’t want to wait weeks/months for an appointment
We understand just how frustrating it is when you need to see a health professional yet you can’t get an appointment until the end of next month 🙁
At Life Chiropractic Port Melbourne we have come up with a simple solution to this often times frustrating problem. We guarantee to be able to offer you a new patient consultation on the day you called (except Sunday) or we’ll do it for free (that’s a savings of up to $190).
We understand that when you’re in pain you want results now and that’s why our chiropractors work 6 days week (yep we rest on Sunday).
We also have super flexible hours, our first appointments beginning at 7am and last finishing at 7pm.
Life Chiropractic Port Melbourne has been delivering safe, gentle and effective Chiropractic care to the Port Melbourne and South Melbourne communities since 1999.
